Creating a culture
of reading in
Papua New Guinea

Welcome to our website

PNG BookClub started as a social media group in facebook (PNG BookClub Facebook group). It began as a shared idea by people with an interest in reading. The idea was that by networking, the group could work toward developing a culture of reading in PNG that encompasses the interests of those who love reading as well as provide motivation and support for those that do not. It was clear from the start that there are a lot of people interested in furthering this effort. Our agenda is simple. We aim to encourage a reading culture in PNG and want to enlist the participation of as many as possible. We are glad to have you here with us and encourage you to become active in the effort!

Why Join Us?

img

If you are thinking about joining in on some of our BookClub activities but are wondering "why" you should, perhaps some of the facebook postings of the bookworms could help out. See what some of our members have to say about being a part of the PNG BookClub.

Although being a member of facebook lets you keep in contact with other bookworms easily, it is not a requirement for being counted as one of our number. Check back here for News & Events, check our Blog for more discussions about what we have going on, and join our Forum to engage in talk about specific topics of interest. There are a lot of ways to participate!
